Reciprocity
Many of us have not been given many opportunities to sense into true reciprocity in our lives. I want this somatic practice to be a place where we can start to play and experiment with what it actually looks and feels like in our bodies to be in a relationship with one another built on reciprocity, not extraction.
Investing in Yourself
My standard rate is $100 for an hour-long session.
If somatic therapy with me feels resonant for you, but $100 a session will not work, I would love for you to send me an email and we can talk about what financial investment does work for you. I do not want money to be the reason we do not connect.
Fee Transparency
I believe in fee transparency as a way of taking back our power. By naming and speaking honestly about money in our lives my hope is we can move into new relationships with money as individuals and a collective.
If I receive $100 for a session, where does all this money go? After deducting 30% for taxes, plus monthly office space rental, website fees, insurance, ongoing training and mentorship, etc. I wind up making around $20 an hour. This is because my time investment to clients goes beyond just the hour we are together for a session. There is time to prepare before sessions and document after. There are the hours spent banking, updating my website, sending emails, and all the other labor that goes into running a small business.
I am a person with basic needs and bills to pay. You are too. Our expenses are different for each of us depending on our families and lives. Maybe you make far less than $20/hour, maybe you make far more. This is why reciprocity is not one size fits all.
